For a few days, we talked about autumn leaves, Kanye West, sarcophagi, Pokémon, Instagram, and MRIs. We brought up notions of translation, fragility, innovation, religiosity, entertainment, and biology. We showed artworks by three artists living in the Paris area: Jimmy Beauquesne, Mahalia Köhnke-Jehl, and Mona Varichon. It’s a small group show with artists who didn’t know each other. The curator brought them together because they have visually and politically rich and generous practices that speak, each in their own way, about technology, language, and power.

Jimmy Beauquesne (b. 1992) lives and works in Ivry-sur-Seine.
Mahalia Köhnke-Jehl (b. 1990) lives and works in Clichy.
Mona Varichon (b. 1989) lives and works in Paris.
